Enrique Pe?a Nieto has officially take his duties as the new Mexican president with a vow to restore peace and security and to tackle vested interests that have hampered economic prosperity.
As several hundred protesters threw firebombs at police and Windows smashed, Pe?a Nieto marked the return of the institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) with a 13 point including the populist documents plan, but also reforms intended to boost the economy and modernize the education and justice systems.

"To the Mexico did not achieve progress that the population requires or deserves", Pe?a Nieto said. "It is time for breaking us the myths and paradigms and everything else that has limited our development."
Inaugural events have marred the day by protesters opposed to the return of the PRI after 12 years in power.

In his speech, Pe?a Nieto turned to his usual style of results-oriented governing the list, having started his term as Governor of the State of Mexico with 608 projects, which he has promised to complete.
The tone was conciliatory, attempting to allay fears of a return to the autocratic PRI passed. "I will respect each voice," he said. "I'm going to run an open Government that speaks with honesty, seeks advice, listen to its citizens..." I will be a president who is close to the people."
Many of its proposals recalled back to the old populist PRI, promising pensions to the elderly of life insurance for single mothers to support their children through college, a program aimed at eradicating hunger and a new system of passenger trains.
Political analyst Jesus Silva Herzog Marquez said: "it is very concrete, very practical, no ideology." I think that Pena Nieto is not a person who thinks in abstract terms."
